Payt’s software is suitable for companies and organisations across a wide range of sectors. Whether you operate in the private or public sector, wherever payments are made, Payt helps to deliver significant savings.
This breadth is reflected in our customer portfolio, which includes webshops, accountancy firms and telecom providers, as well as schools, wholesalers and logistics businesses. One of those logistics organisations is TFF & Logistics: an innovative company that transports goods by air, sea and road.
TFF & Logistics B.V.
Based in Heerenveen, Friesland, TFF & Logistics B.V. was founded in early 2015 by Martijn Schadenberg and Barry Boekema. They believed the logistics industry was ready for innovation and built an advanced booking system that allows customers to compare quotes from multiple transport providers. Customers can select the most favourable delivery time and/or the best price. Once a shipment is booked, the entire process runs automatically – from labels and collection through to delivery at the final destination – meaning the customer no longer has to worry about the details.
The service covers both small and large shipments, transport from the Netherlands to abroad (and vice versa), and even shipments between two other countries, such as China and the United States. This so-called “third country service” is a unique offering in the logistics sector and not something every provider can deliver. It makes TFF & Logistics a distinctive player in the market.
Because the company buys at scale from major carriers such as DHL, UPS and MSC, as well as from smaller players, it can secure substantial advantages for SMEs looking to move goods from A to B.
“We pass that advantage on to our customers. TFF & Logistics ships everything – from small deliveries, such as important papers and documents, to full containers. Organisations can save enormously on transport costs through our system. Savings of 30–40%, and sometimes even more, are quite common,” Martijn explains proudly.
Payt for TFF
Although Martijn and Barry started only a year earlier, the team has already grown to five people – and anyone assuming there is an administrative employee among them would be mistaken.
As TFF’s administration expanded, Martijn began looking for innovative software to streamline and improve the organisation’s accounts receivable management. He found the solution in Payt.
“We were still doing the administration entirely ourselves and manually. At a certain point it became too much, and too much was left undone. Then I thought: if we’re capable of building a smart booking system for the transport sector, surely there is a party that has done the same for an organisation’s accounts receivable process. Through our IT guy, we ended up with Payt.”
Martijn immediately saw the impact Payt could have:
“We realised we hardly ever sent reminder invoices – simply because we didn’t have the time. Then those things are left undone, and the payment behaviour of customers doesn’t improve, of course.”
Schadenberg adds that since TFF & Logistics started using Payt, invoices are being paid faster:
“Some organisations routinely wait to pay until they receive a reminder. If they don’t get one, they don’t pay either. Unfortunately, that’s how it works. We still see companies that only pay after receiving the reminder invoice, but at least that reminder now arrives much faster thanks to Payt’s software. Payt has not only automated but also structured our accounts receivable management. As a result, invoices are paid faster and our administration has become much more professional in one fell swoop. This is also thanks to the easy communication options built into the platform. We can communicate quickly and easily with customers about outstanding invoices, right at invoice level.”
